Specialist Education Through Horses, Animals & Nature

The Orchard Equine & Land Based College is a specialist post-16 education provider and City & Guilds Approved Centre, offering personalised education and vocational pathways for young people aged 16–25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

We provide a seamless journey from Alternative Provision and reintegration through to specialist post-16 education, supporting every learner to develop confidence, independence and employability through practical, hands-on learning.

Our programmes combine equine, animal care and land-based education with recognised qualifications, preparation for adulthood, work experience and employability skills, ensuring every learner has the opportunity to progress into further education, employment, volunteering or independent adult life.

At Orchard, we believe every young person deserves an education that is meaningful, supportive and built around their individual strengths, helping them to Learn, Grow, Achieve and Belong.
